A Season of Inspiration
As summer begins, I find myself reflecting on the many experiences that continue to shape the way I think about homes.
Design inspiration rarely arrives all at once. More often, it reveals itself gradually—through meaningful conversations, beautiful craftsmanship, thoughtful travel, art, architecture, and the places that leave a lasting impression long after we've returned home.
This season has been filled with reminders of why I love what I do, and I've found myself reflecting on a subject that remains central to my work: the impact our homes have on our daily lives.
For instance, a thoughtfully designed kitchen often becomes the heart of the home—a place where families naturally gather, conversations unfold, and memories are made. Adding custom storage to a mudroom or pantry can reduce daily clutter and make busy mornings feel more manageable, while incorporating larger windows or glass doors can flood a home with natural light, creating spaces that feel brighter, more uplifting, and connected to the outdoors. Even something as simple as transforming an unused room into a functional home office or creating a cozy outdoor living area can improve the way we work, relax, and spend time with the people we love. These thoughtful design choices go far beyond aesthetics; they shape how we experience our homes each day, making them not only more beautiful but also more functional, comfortable, and meaningful.
A beautifully designed home is more than a composition of materials, furnishings, and architecture. It is a setting for connection, comfort, creativity, and self-expression. It influences how we gather, recharge, celebrate, and experience everyday life.
Currently, I have been fortunate to travel back to my hometown in Colombia and oversee a very special residential project that has been years in the making. Traveling in and of itself, sharpens observation and broadens my perspective. But no matter where I find myself, I am continually reminded that the most memorable interiors are often shaped by experiences beyond the space itself.
As the season unfolds, I look forward to sharing more of the inspiration, discoveries, and creative journeys that continue to shape our work.
Thank you for following along.
Regards,
Stella
