ABOUT US

WHO ARE WE?

— Long Story Short…

We are a Philadelphia-based interior design studio (that makes the occasional trip to Manhattan and other faraway places). Stella is passionate about creating bespoke interiors, and her discerning eye and intuitive approach transform every project into meaningful, one-of-a-kind reflections of her clients’ lives. Interested in the “long story long” version (including a few of our awards)? You can learn more here.

OUR STORY

— Long Story Long…

Usually, we’re more interested in focusing on our clients, but if you insist, we’re happy to share a little about ourselves. It’s a rather simple story, actually. A girl falls in love with interior design at a young age. She then grows up, travels the world and decides to start a business centered around her first love. The end.

You sense there’s more to tell? Gosh, you’re smart.

Once upon a time, there was a young Colombian girl who found herself in a humble home surrounded by many siblings and so much love. This environment, though at times certainly chaotic, was supported by her loving parents, who observed Stella’s ability to see possibility in everyday materials and watched as she made them into much-needed items for the house. From an early age, Stella would go from selecting paint colors, tiles, and fabrics to designing entire rooms.

With that love and support from her parents, Stella would go on to work in the textile and fashion industries before earning a degree in Business Administration at Temple University and an Interior Design Program at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Stella’s keen eye for mixing bold colors and patterns, and her attention to detail, were honed through years of extensive world travel to Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia, where she and her family spent a year living in Bangkok.

Throughout her journey, Stella’s creative lens has been shaped by the colors and textures of nature, the elegance of historic European architecture, and the sophistication of fashion design. She draws inspiration from Parisian romanticism, American classicism, and the organic beauty of the earth’s natural topography and richly layered colors. Travel remains one of her greatest muses—each destination offering new palettes, artisanal techniques, and cultural stories that inform her interiors. Her work blends timeless forms with modern romance, embracing harmony, proportion, and the artistry of thoughtful detail.

But enough about us, we want to hear more about you…

“We would have wasted money and time had we not hired her services.”

“We enjoyed working with Stella through Skype chats, emails, and photos for a while, and for a few months when she flew in to finish the space. She gave us clear instructions and we followed her lead. We would have wasted money and time had we not hired her services. We have recommended her to family and friends and will hire her again in the future.”

“She made the process from such a long distance very manageable...”

“I am constantly traveling and I don’t have much time on my hands. I hired Stella to decorate and furnish my entire house and guide me with the front and backyard landscape... She made the process from such a long distance very manageable and gave me a unique place I could have never done on my own. I will use her again when I purchase an apartment in Florida and will recommend her to anyone who has no idea where to start or in which style to decorate their home.”
