WHO ARE WE?

We are a Philadelphia-based interior design studio (that makes the occasional trip to Manhattan and other faraway places). Stella is passionate about creating bespoke interiors, and her discerning eye and intuitive approach transform every project into meaningful, one-of-a-kind reflections of her clients’ lives. OUR STORY

Usually, we’re more interested in focusing on our clients, but if you insist, we’re happy to share a little about ourselves.
It’s a rather simple story, actually. Girl falls in love with interior design at a young age. She then grows up, travels the world and decides to start a business centered around her first love.

Once upon a time, there was a young Colombian girl who found herself in a humble abode surrounded by many siblings and so much love. This environment, though at times certainly chaotic, was supported by her loving parents, who from an early age observed Stella’s ability to see possibility in everyday materials and watched as she made them into much-needed items for the home. They would continue to nurture and encourage her artistic inclinations. She was even tasked with selecting paint colors for the home on numerous occasions.
With that love and support, Stella would go on to work in the textile and fashion industries before earning a degree in business administration with later studies at Temple University and the Art Institute of Interior Design. Stella’s keen eye for mixing bold colors and patterns, and her attention to detail, were honed through years of extensive world travel to Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia, where she and her family spent a year living in Bangkok.

At Stella Ludwig Interiors, we focus our energy on our clients and their unique design goals. We provide solutions to design dilemmas through our organized processes that help clients avoid unnecessary stress and costly mistakes. Our designs have increased the value of our clients' homes and have enhanced their daily experience of living. As a busy mother of two—and one of seven siblings—Stella deeply understands the dynamic nature of family life. She knows that today’s fast-paced world makes it even more challenging to create a home that feels beautiful, functional, and restorative. Stella believes that your space sets the tone for your life, and when your environment supports you, daily living becomes smoother, more joyful, and more productive.
